Dear New Canaan Chamber Music Family, fellow music-lovers, and neighbors near and far,
Welcome to our fifth season—an unforgettable celebration of timeless musical classics, internationally renowned soloists, fine wine and laughter with friends, and the most effortless, joyful engagement with chamber music you could imagine.
I’m thrilled for the musical journey we’ll share, beginning in October with violinist James Ehnes, one of the most sought-after musicians on the international stage, coming straight from Carnegie Hall to New Canaan Chamber Music. In December, we present Felix Mendelssohn’s legendary Octet, featuring the return of internationally acclaimed violinist Stefan Jackiw. February invites you to “Anticipate the Unexpected” with thrilling musical surprises, and in April, favorite clarinetist Yoonah Kim returns to dazzle alongside Scottish accordionist Ryan Corbett.
This season also marks a special first: a preview of extraordinary young
talents—the “Rising Stars” of the music scene—alongside a lineup of celebrated international musicians.
Yours,
Andy
